President of Uzbekistan Holds Meetings on the Sidelines of Non-Aligned Movement Summit

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a number of meetings with heads of delegations and international organizations at the conclusion of the plenary session of the Non-Aligned Movement Summit.

During the conversation with the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the issues of advancing joint projects in trade, economic, transport, communications, and energy sectors were discussed.

The issues of attracting leading companies to form and implement a new portfolio of joint investment projects were considered with Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Emir of Ras Al Khaimah and member of the UAE Supreme Council.

An exchange of views was held with the Chairman of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly Chaba Körösi on the agenda for the upcoming plenary session of the leading international organization in September this year.

The Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization Zurab Pololikashvili informed on the ongoing work for the preparation and conduct of the UNWTO General Assembly regular session on October 16-20 of this year in Samarkand.

The issues of implementation of a joint training program in the field of tourism were also considered.
