In accordance with the statement of the Special Commission for the preparation of the program of measures to prevent the penetration and spread of coronavirus in the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as the Special Commission) :

All previously imposed restrictions on the movement of individuals and vehicles at airports, railway stations and border checkpoints of the Republic have been lifted, and entry and exit to the Republic of Uzbekistan through air, railway and road checkpoints has been allowed since October 2020 (paragraph 13 of Regulation No. 50);

Persons visiting the Republic of Uzbekistan by air and rail are required to provide a certificate confirming a negative result for coronavirus infection only by means of PCR (polymer-chain reaction), within not more than 72 hours before registration of air or rail traffic to arrive in the Republic of Uzbekistan;

In addition, in accordance with the statement of the special commission of 13 March 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Ministry of Tourism and sports was instructed to inform foreign partners, investors and tour operators in a week on its official web pages and through diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad about the lifting of restrictions on entry into the country associated with the coronavirus, the organization of new air and rail

(Paragraph 4 of statement No. 65);

To approve the proposal to introduce a procedure for entry into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan from July 20 this year,

Persons entering the Republic through road border checkpoints to undergo express testing for coronavirus antigen at their own expense and will be allowed to enter the country only if a certificate with a negative result is provided.

At the entrance to the Republic of Uzbekistan by air and rail, the order of entry into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan without any restrictions is maintained with a certificate of vaccination recognized internationally in the fight against coronavirus infection or with a certificate of antibodies against coronavirus infection in the blood, established by the Protocol of the Special Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 13, 2021.

Also defined the following:

a) regardless of the presence of a visitor’s certificate of a negative result of PCR test, persons entering through road border checkpoints receive a rapid test for coronavirus infection antigen at their own expense in special clinics or laboratories operating at border checkpoints;

b) in case of a positive result of a rapid test for coronavirus infection:

foreign nationals (except for foreign nationals permanently residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan) and stateless persons (except for stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan) shall not be admitted to the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan are placed in medical institutions specializing in the treatment of coronavirus infections located in the respective territory or are referred for treatment at home (Protocol No. 78, para. 3)

In accordance with Special Commission Statement No. 80:

Foreign nationals entering the Republic of Uzbekistan from Pakistan and India may travel only using the services of a tour operator;

Citizens entering the Republic of Uzbekistan from Pakistan and India will be placed in a hotel in case of a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) laboratory test result ;

Citizens entering the Republic of Uzbekistan from Pakistan and India will be moved according to the established procedure if the laboratory polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is positive;

Citizens entering the Republic of Uzbekistan from Pakistan and India will be allowed to depart for a third country after a 14-day quarantine period;

Irrespective of the capacity of the aircraft, foreign nationals arriving from Pakistan and India on the same aircraft will be accommodated in the same hotel, and citizens arriving on a different aircraft will not be allowed to stay in that hotel;

Citizens of Pakistan and India undergoing medical procedures will be allowed to undergo quarantine period in special hospitals according to their medical condition.

The quarantine period in hotels for foreign nationals arriving from Pakistan and India will be arranged in accordance with the Annex.

In turn, it is reported that the Republic of Uzbekistan currently retains the requirement for citizens to wear medical masks, observe social distance, disinfection work.
