The importation of unmanned aerial vehicles into the Republic of
Uzbekistan is carried out on the basis of Resolution No. 658 of the Cabinet of Ministers
of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 15, 2022 (link to the resolution:

For reference:
An unmanned aerial vehicle is an aircraft that performs flights without a pilot, is fully controlled remotely from another location, or is programmed and operates in a fully autonomous flight mode (excluding aircraft models and toy aircraft models).
Components and spare parts for unmanned aerial vehicles include parts classified under the following HS (TN VED) codes: 8802200001, 8802200002, 8802200008, 8803100000, 8803200000.
Based on the requirements of the above-mentioned resolution, the following has been established:
– It is prohibited to illegally import, sell, purchase, store or use unmanned aerial vehicles, their components and spare parts (TN VED codes 8802200001, 8802200002, 8802200008, 8803100000, 8803200000) in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
– By separate resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers, relevant ministries, departments and economic entities may be issued permits for the import, sale, purchase, storage and use of unmanned aerial vehicles, their components and spare parts.
In addition, pursuant to this resolution, foreign creative groups are permitted to temporarily import, store, and use unmanned aerial vehicles within the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the purpose of producing photo and video materials on the tourism potential of the republic, subject to authorization by the Civil Aviation Authority under the Ministry of Transport, upon request of the Tourism committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
